BRIEF ROUND OF RAIN/SNOW... A swift-moving system spread clouds and rain showers into the region this morning. There were minor accumulations of wet snow around 1/2" on grassy surfaces over the far northern parts of the WBKO viewing area (mainly along/N of a line from Fordsville to Hodgenville), but no significant accumulation was reported since surface temps stayed above freezing. It will be colder behind this system with highs only in the upper 30s to low 40s. CHILLY LATE WEEK... Look for lots of sunshine Thursday, though temperatures will be seasonably cool, only topping out in the mid 40s. It warms up a tad Friday ahead of another cold front that promises to bring a reinforcing shot of colder air for the weekend. THE WEEKEND... A fast-moving cold front will bring us a chance for light rain/light snow showers late Friday into early Saturday. No significant snow accumulation is expected at this time. However, temperatures will take a nose dive, with highs only in the 30s Saturday and Sunday, with lows in the upper teens to lower 20s Sunday morning. We'll see some moderation in readings early next week, with another chance for rain or a rain/snow mix Monday night into early Tuesday. THIS AFTERNOON: Cloudy & Colder...High 44, winds NW-6 Precip Chance 30% - Little or No Snow Accumulation TONIGHT: Mostly Cloudy and Colder...Low 28, winds NW-4 THURSDAY: Mostly Sunny...High 46, winds W-4 |
