Something I am interested in finding out after the hilltoppers opening loss to UK, and upcoming game against Navy, what are all you topper fans thinking?
Are you encouraged by the close game they gave UK? It is certainly worth thinking WKU could have come away with a win if their offense was a little more effective.
I know coach Taggart said he told his players to not fall for all the pats on the back. They didn't do anything, they lost. That's a great mentality for coach and the team to have. This team is beyond settling for moral victories.
But what about you fans? I know the team was win-less two years ago and only won two games last year, but do 'moral' victories still count to you, or do you want to see wins?
I talked with the WKU bookstore manager this week on the Sporting Times radio show, and he said there has been a big buzz about the football team that he hasn't experienced in some time.
For the team, I hope Houchins-Smith Stadium is packed Saturday. Will you be there? Do you feel excited about the team this season? Tell me what you think!
For what it's worth, I think WKU will pull off the upset. Let's say 17-13.
