Three teams playing for a state championship this weekend. That is pretty special. Who knows when we will see that again? Could be next year, could be 30 years from now. Fans of high school football in the area should really enjoy it.
-I'll take Bowling Green and Glasgow to win. Franklin-Simpson, unfortunately, has to play a very very good Highlands team.
-Could be a historic weekend for WKU football as they will learn their bowl fate. A lot depends on who wins and who loses Saturday. Do I think they'll make a bowl. I do. Where? I don't even have a good guess because it's such a toss up. BBVA compass bowl makes sense.
-Wildcats and UNC square off in the battle for the biggest game in December no one will care about in March. Seriously, this game means nothing for either team come tournament time, other than bragging rights for the fans.
-That being said I think UK will win at home.
-Starting tonight the WKU men's basketball team has two games in four days. First Thursday night against Murray State and then Sunday against BGSU. The 'Tops could really use two wins to get some momentum going.
-Let's not forget about the WKU volleyball team either. Maybe the best team on campus, they start the NCAA tournament Friday night.
-And in a game that, around here, only myself and a handful of other people care about the Bengals play the Steelers. I would love to see a Bengals W, not sure it will happen in Pitt though.
So a busy, but fun weekend ahead!
