Well hello everyone, it has been quite some time since we last chatted, or since you read anything that I had to write. That is because March is, well, crazy. Here some thoughts on the month.
-What the Hilltoppers did at the end of the season is nothing short of amazing. Coach Harper really got the team to play harder than they did for coach McDonald. Whats more impressive about that is the fact he got the team to believe in what he was saying so quickly. They bought in, and the result was some very, very exciting basketball down the stretch. The program should have a very bright future under coach Harper.
-I think the Lady Tops are also headed in the right direction. A change was needed. Will it pay, only time will time but it appears as if coach Clark-Heard has a vision for what she wants and it will be interesting to see what happens.
-Many people thought the Wildcats were the best team in the nation from the start of the season and they proved those people right by winning their eighth national championship. What was most impressive about the team was their unselfishness. No one guy had to get his every night, they worked together and shared the ball. Can the one-and-done type teams succeed? They proved it could work this season, although it wasn't just the freshman. Darius Miller and his senior leadership had a huge role and that will ultimately be missed the most next season.
March was a busy month to say the least and things are going to slow down just a tad for the next few weeks, but I'm glad baseball season is here... so long as this weather stays nice!
