Lady Tops lose to FAU last night by two in the final seconds of the game. The Lady Toppers are now six and 14 and their most consistent player is senior LaTeira Owens who had 18 points and five rebounds last night.
Chaney Means, typically the starting point, didn't play one minute. Neither did Teranie Thomas, who had 16 points in the loss against UALR Sunday. I find it interesting neither got any PT.
The Monroe County Lady Falcons won their first game in the "All A" state tournament. I would say they have a really, really good chance at winning it all.
Glasgow boy's also took care of business today. I could see them winning the "All A" also. I've got them as my favorite to win the Region this year.
For all you Reds fans out there, the winter caravan will be in town Saturday at Greenwood Mall. I myself am very excited. I have been a Reds fan my whole life and look forward to interviewing the guys that will be here.
The best part of the caravan is that there seems to be a lot of Reds fans in this part of the state and this is a great chance for a lot of people who won't be able to make a trip up to GABP this summer to see their favorite team.
Personally, I'm most excited to meet the Hall of Famer, Marty Brennaman.
Changes to Rupp? www.kentucky.com/2012/01/25/2040961/gray-says-rupp-arena-task-force.html
The first thing they need to do in Rupp is MOVE THE STUDENTS CLOSER TO THE FLOOR! The Erruption Zone is great and I spent many a games there as a student. but still, the students need to be closer to the floor. I think it would keep Rupp from getting silent like it has been known to do during games.
Speaking of the Wildcats, their new jerseys look pretty darn cool.www.ukathletics.com/blog/2012/01/uk-to-debut-nike-hyper-elite-platinum-uniforms-jan-31.html
Some pretty good games tomorrow in HS hoops, we've got the BG-Central rivalry tipping off again, Greenwood and East meet in what should be a really good boy's game. I'll throw some picks up tomorrow.
Until next time.
