Bowling Green Police are investigating a series of car break-ins on the city's east side. Over the past six weeks, a number of vehicles have been broken into in the Hartland, Briarwood, and Indian Hills subdivisions.
Thousands of dollars in property has been stolen, including three handguns. Many of these vehicles were left unlocked and unattended, so forced entry was not necessary. Police remind you to always lock your car and remove valuable contents at night. Don't leave items in plain view that might tempt would-be thieves.
