Crime Stoppers: Burglary & Assault

Bowling Green Police are investigating a burglary and assault in an apartment on North Mill Avenue. At 5:15 p.m. Monday, January 24, an 18-year-old woman arrived home to find her front door unlocked.

She entered her apartment, and heard a noise in the bedroom. When she went into the bedroom, she saw a black male wearing a toboggan mask. He struck her in the face with his fist, knocking her down. He then straddled her, hitting her several more times.

The burglar then wrapped a leather belt around her neck, choking her until she lost consciousness. When she awoke, she called police. They are looking for a black man, about 5-feet 10-inches tall weighing 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gold chain with a gold cross.
