Just before 4:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, Bowling Green Police were called to a hit-and-run at the intersection of Louisville Road and Old Louisville Road.
Police believe the victim, 76-year-old Carolyn Mae McKinney Withrow, was initially hit by a vehicle sometime between 3:35 a.m. and 3:55 a.m. Monday. The driver did not stop to render aid.
The vehicle should have some type of damage around the front and undercarriage.
Authorities are also considering the possibility a larger vehicle may have struck Mrs. Withrow, not realizing they had hit a pedestrian. Police also believe her body was hit by another auto, as it lay on the pavement.
Mrs. Withrow suffered from Alzheimer's Disease. She had left her residence sometime during the night, and walked to the Louisville Road area.
