Bowling Green Police say around 3:40 a.m. Saturday, August 13, a dog was shot with a bow and arrow in the 2700 block of Navajo Court. The one-year-old collie mix named Jax, later died during surgery. He had been adopted from the Humane Society when he was only two months old.
Neighbors in Shawnee Estates found Jax lying on the ground near their home and called police. A Carbon Express model Terminator 6075 arrow was recovered at the scene.
