Crime Stoppers needs your help. Bowling Green Police are investigating more thefts of auto parts.
Over the past two weeks, fifteen catalytic converters have been reported stolen from vehicles in the area of Lovers Lane, Campbell Lane, and Scottsville Road. Cars and trucks parked at AT& T, U-Haul, and Gary Force Honda had the converters cut out from underneath the vehicle.
Catalytic converters reduce the toxicity of vehicle emissions, and are an integral part of the exhaust system. Thieves can remove a converter from a vehicle in minutes, causing thousands of dollars in damage and loss.
