Bowling Green police are investigating a strong-armed robbery at Indianola Street and 14th Avenue on Sunday night, Nov. 26, 2006.
As a 71-year-old woman was getting out of her car, police said a white male in his early 20s approached her. He grabbed her purse and pulled violently, spinning her around, and slinging her to the ground.
The elderly victim began yelling for help and the robber ran off toward Broadway, running right out of his size 11 Teva flip-flops. The woman suffered a broken arm and injuries to her wrist and nose.
Police said the suspect is a white male, 20-25 years old, around 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap and gray zipper jacket.
