Crime Stoppers is teaming up with the Barren County Sheriff's Department to solicit information on the tragic accident that occurred Monday night just outside Glasgow.
We've all heard the sad news of the 23-month-old toddler getting killed on the highway.
So far, no one has come forth to take responsibility for the accident, so police are hoping you can help in tonight's Crime of the Week.
Barren county sheriff's deputies say around 7:50 Monday night, August 3rd, a vehicle accidentally struck a child in the roadway on U.S. 68/80, three miles west of Glasgow.
Twenty three-month-old Shayla Wooten got out of a car to follow her father to the mailbox and was struck by an unknown vehicle.
The vehicle continued westbound toward Bowling Green.
Authorities are trying to identify the driver, and the vehicle, involved in this unfortunate event.
