Bowling Green Police say some time over the Thanksgiving holiday thieves burglarized the buses at Community Action of Southern Kentucky's headquarters on Beauty Avenue. They think the burglars hit Wednesday or Thursday night, November 26 or 27.
The burglars cut through a fence and broke into seven regional transit buses. They ripped off the dashboards and stole the radios. Police believe the same burglars may have also hit Community Action back in October.
These CART buses provide much-needed, inexpensive transportation to hundreds of people in Bowling Green, and incidents of theft and vandalism like this are devastating to the program.
If you know anything about these burglaries, please call Crime Stoppers at 781-CLUE, or go to their website.
