Police from Bowling Green and Western Kentucky University are investigating a series of pickup truck tailgate thefts. Over the past six weeks, fourteen tailgates have been stolen from pickups throughout Bowling Green.
The thieves are concentrating on large parking lots, where the selection is greater. Most of the tailgates have been stolen from Ford F-series trucks, but a few have been taken off Dodge and Chevy pickups. Authorities believe these thieves are striking during weekday daytime hours.
