Warren County Sheriff’s Deputies say over the past couple of weeks at least 34 road signs have been stolen in the Oakland and Greenhill areas of Warren County.

Stop signs, road and street name signs, and traffic control signs have been taken. These signs not only cost taxpayers money to replace, but can kill somebody.

A few years ago, three Florida teenagers stole a stop sign from an
intersection. Three people were killed because that stop sign was
stolen. The three teenagers were sentenced to 15 years in prison.

But there is a way to return stolen signs. People who voluntarily return
street signs can do so without question or prosecution. No questions
asked!

The signs can be dropped off at the Warren County Road Department at 638 East 5th Avenue in Bowling Green. However, if authorities find stolen road signs in your possession there is no free pass.
