Logan County Sheriff, Wallace Whitaker, says vandals have been slamming steel objects into mailboxes in northern Logan County for six months. They've been hitting the Chandler's area north of Auburn, including Homer Road, Homer-Insco Road, and Bucksville Road.
Most of the damage has been to mailboxes, but Whitaker says they've also broken out windows of bulldozers and backhoes. The vandals usually strike between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., and they most recently hit just last week.
Also, Bowling Green Police are still looking for Victor Osorio Pena, also known as Beto Pena. He is wanted for the alleged beating and sexual assault of an elderly Bowling Green woman on Christmas Day. Pena is a 26-year-old Hispanic male, 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair, with a mole and scar on his nose.
