Bowling Green Police are investigating some residential burglaries in two neighborhoods. On Wednesday April 14, burglars entered two homes in Shawnee Estates. They struck in the 700 block of Shawnee Way, and the 800 block of Yuma Drive. Police say these thefts are very similar to burglaries in the area of Eric Avenue and Rockcreek Drive the week of March 22. In all four cases, DVDs, Playstation systems, and games were stolen.
Bowling Green's Cold Case Unit is revisiting a murder that happened around 10:30 p.m. October 17, 1999. Kevin Ragland, 29, was shot in the neck in front of his home in the 1300 block of Chestnut Street. He died a short time later at the Medical Center.
