Bowling Green Police said over the past several weeks numerous bicycles have been stolen from porches, carports and backyards.

In recent years, July and August have been the months when most bicycles were stolen. This year the thieves have started early.

Every year hundreds of bicycles are recovered by Bowling Green police. Many are sold at auction, because police are unable to identify the owner.

If you know anything about these bicycle thefts, please call Crime Stoppers at 781-CLUE, or click here to go to their website. You could get up to $1,000 for your anonymous tip.

Bicycle Theft Prevention

  • Keep your bike in a locked garage or shed.
