Just after midnight Friday, February 5, police responded to a burglar alarm at the Big Kmart on Scottsville Road.
Upon arrival, police found that someone had forced their way into the building.
Surveillance video shows a suspect rummaging through the jewelry section of the store. He is wearing baggy jeans, a dark colored jacket, dark gloves, and a bandanna covering his face and head.
The thief swiped several gold bracelets and necklaces, valued at several thousand dollars. Authorities are hoping you may know of someone who now has a lot of new jewelry and may be connected to this crime.
