Animal Control officers in Simpson County have been working, what they describe, as a "serious case" of animal neglect. Wednesday morning, a complaint of a few stray dogs running around in the street led authorities to a home on Stone Road. That's where officers say they discovered not just a few, but 60 malnourished pets. Twenty-two of those dogs have now been placed in other homes, while the rest are being nursed back to good health by Simpson County Animal Control. Authorities tell WBKO, the owner will not face charges.
Officers say she's going through, "difficult times," and is willing to cooperate at this time. Anyone interested in adopting any of these dogs should contact Simpson County Animal Control at (270) 586-5778.
