A motorcycle and a scooter were recently stolen in separate incidents, but you may be able to help police find them in this edition of "Crime Stoppers."
We have pictures of the stolen bikes and the places from which they were stolen in the Aug. 29 "Crime of the Week."
Sometime between 7:30 a.m. and noon on Thursday, Aug. 16, someone stole a 1999 Honda Shadow motorcycle from an apartment complex on McFadin Station St., just off Porter Pike.
The motorcycle was locked and had to be dragged to the parking lot.
It is black with a tan leather seat and is valued at $3400.
Then, early on Aug. 27, a yellow 2002 Yamaha Zuma scooter was stolen from Saint James United Methodist Church on Winfield Dr. just off Fairview Ave.
A witness saw the scooter being loaded into a full-size white van with a black male driver and a female passenger.
Her race is not known.
If you know anything about either of these thefts, please call "Crime Stoppers" at 781-CLUE or click here to get to their website.
You could get up to $1,000 for your tip.
You do not have to give your name to leave your information.
And as your friends at BGMU say, "Crime doesn't pay, Crime Stoppers does."
Remember, "Crime Stoppers" calls are not recorded and they do not use caller i.d.
They just want your information, not your name.
