Bowling Green Police say on Friday afternoon July second, a woman was approached in the parking lot of Riverside Village on the 31W bypass.
The man told her he had found a large sum of cash, and he was willing to share it with her if she put up some "good faith money."
The suspect convinced the woman to go to her bank, withdraw the money from her account, and give it to him. The suspect then disappeared with her money.
This is known as the Pigeon Drop Scam.
Authorities have obtained surveillance pictures of a "person of interest" in this case.
A black male is seen coming into the bank and acting very suspiciously, while the victim withdraws the money. Police are hoping someone can identify him.
