Crime Stoppers: Funny Money

Police say just before 9:00 p.m. on February 24, a man entered the Minit Mart at the corner of Scottsville Road and Cumberland Trace. He paid for gas with a fake 20 and left.

Moments later he entered the store again and tried to buy lottery tickets. As soon as the man left, the clerk realized the $20's were "funny money. "

The man is described as a bald, black male with a thick build. He also has a tattoo on the right side of his neck, but the clerk could not see it clearly.

If you have information about this or any crime, please call South Central Kentucky Crime Stoppers at 781-CLUE, toll free at 866-842-CLUE, or click here to go to their web site.

Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name. Their telephone lines are not recorded and they don’t use caller ID or *69.
