Police say just before 9:00 p.m. on February 24, a man entered the Minit Mart at the corner of Scottsville Road and Cumberland Trace. He paid for gas with a fake 20 and left.
Moments later he entered the store again and tried to buy lottery tickets. As soon as the man left, the clerk realized the $20's were "funny money. "
The man is described as a bald, black male with a thick build. He also has a tattoo on the right side of his neck, but the clerk could not see it clearly.
