The Warren County Sheriff's Department is investigating a theft of batteries from earth-moving equipment belonging to Scotty's Contracting.
During the overnight hours of May 5, someone stole twelve batteries from some of the construction equipment parked off Scottsville Road near the new Dye Ford Road entrance between Bowling Green and Alvaton. Four Caterpillar batteries and 8 Deka batteries were taken from five different pieces of equipment.
The Bowling Green Police Department is investigating a similar theft. During the overnight hours of May 9, someone cut the fence and entered the back lot of Wayne Supply Company on High Rail Way. Once inside the fence, twenty batteries from different earth-moving machines were stolen, including eight Caterpillar batteries and twelve Alliance batteries.
