School has started for kids and teachers alike, but one faculty member sees her year at school end quickly.

Cindy Beals is stepping down as principal of Warren East High School to take another role with Warren County Public Schools.

Beals will oversee testing for county schools, while also working with principals and faculty from around the school system to develop curriculum.

Beals has been at WEHS since 2006, and she has been the school's principal since 2007.
