Warren County's high schools will soon benefit from a new swimming and diving facility.
An amendment to the Warren County Public Schools Facilities Plan was approved by the Warren County Board of Education this week .
It will provide a new facility and calls from an expansion of the Central Office building on Lovers Ln.
The swimming pool will be located at the Central Office building and will be used by the high schools, as well as for community use in conjunction with parks and recreation.
"Not only are we going to replace the T.C. Cherry pool, which isn't going to be able to be used anymore, but I think it will be an upgrade so to speak because it will have the diving facility as well as the six lanes for the competitive swimming," explained Don Sergent. with Warren County Public Schools.
This project will also include four classrooms to be used for advanced mathematics and science instruction.
The amendment to the facilities plan also includes the building of two new schools to replace Bristow Elementary and Richardsville Elementary.
