Danville's Centre College has been selected as a back-up site for a 2008 presidential debate.
The college hosted a vice-presidential debate back in 2000.
On Nov. 19, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced dates and sites of three presidential and one vice-presidential debate.
Presidential debates will be held at the University of Mississippi, Belmont University in Nashville and Hofstra University in New York.
The vice-presidential debate will be held at Washington University in St. Louis.
Danville was one of 16 U.S. cities in the running.
