A well-known children's author spends the entire day showing students how reading and writing impacts their learning.
Margaret Peterson Haddix has written at least 20 books for children.
Her first novel, "Running out of Time," was published in 1995.
Spending time at places like Natcher Elementary School is one of the perks of her job, which is usually spent in solitary.
"Most of the time I'm home alone. It's interesting to see the students and teachers at such fun places," Haddix assured.
Haddix has recently signed a contract for her "Shadow Children" series to be produced for TV.
