A car hits a semi in Rockcastle County, killing a University of Kentucky student from Warren County.
18-year-old Bradley Hall, of Rockfield, died at the scene.
It happened just after 1 p.m. on November 9th, on Interstate-75 near Mount Vernon.
Police say for some unknown reason the driver, 20-year-old Thomas May, of Louisville, lost control of the car in the northbound lanes, causing it to go off the roadway, into the grass median and into the path of an oncoming 18-wheeler.
Both May and Hall, the front-seat passenger, died in the accident.
18-year-old Ben Cooley, who was in the backseat at the time of the crash, was injured and flown to UK Hospital.
"The driver of the tractor trailer was also transported to a medical center for treatment as a precautionary measure," said Trooper Don Trosper, with the Kentucky State Police.
The three students in the car were apparently on their way home from a trip to Laurel County.
The roadway was shut down for about three hours while investigators reconstructed the accident.
