LONDON, Ky. (AP) -- Police say a school bus carrying 34 children in south-central Kentucky has struck a utility pole and injured at least five students.
Sgt. Allen Harris with the London Police Department says the accident occurred at 7:45 a.m. EST Tuesday.
Harris says the students' injuries were minor and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
He says the back end of the bus hit the utility pole and no other vehicle was involved.
Harris says the bus was headed for Sublimity Elementary School and was carrying both elementary and high school students.
