RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) -- The Eastern Kentucky University Board of Regents has approved a five-percent increase in undergraduate tuition for Kentucky residents. It raises tuition to $3,660.
The board also approved a five percent increase in residence hall rates and a 3.5-percent increase in meal plan rates.
The university's 2012-13 operating budget will not include an across-the-board salary increase for faculty and staff.
The school said in a news release that state appropriations for it decreased 6.4 percent for 2012-13.
