Music, Food and Art Bring Crowds to Rocktoberfest

The first ever "Rocktoberfest" was held downtown at the Capitol Arts Center on Oct. 20.

Crowds were surrounded with good music, food and art.

The event showcased local artists work that was sold later on in the night at a silent auction.

The money raised will go toward maintenance and upkeep of the Capitol Arts building.

"The Capitol over the years, because of the age of the building, is an expense to maintain to the quality it needs to be. So when we have events like this and entertainers come from out of town, we have a facility we can be proud of," explained Barry Williams, with the Capitol Arts Center.

Williams also says community support has a large part to do with the Capitol's funding.
