In support of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Barren River Area Safe Space has received a big donation.

The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation is donating $20,000 to the shelter, which helps women affected by domestic violence.

BRASS is one of 150 shelters throughout the country receiving this grant during the month of October.

The grant will help BRASS continue their work to protect, educate and care for survivors of domestic violence.
