Safety is the number one priority for trick-or-treaters on Halloween.

SOME TIPS TO KEEP IN MIND FOR YOUR GHOSTS AND GOBLINS INCLUDE:

  • Trick-or-treating with an adult

  • Wearing flame-resistant costumes

  • Using reflective tape or carrying a flashlight

  • Wearing sturdy shoes

  • Make sure masks and hats don't obstruct your child's vision

It's also important to choose safe houses and examine treats before children eat them.

As always, The Medical Center will X-ray candy from 6 to 8 p.m. free of charge.

Parents and children should use the entrance to the cancer treatment center located next to the outpatient entrance on Park St.
