A Franklin factory is leading the way in bringing awareness to domestic violence.

Employees of Harman Becker Automotive Systems gathered before 7 a.m. on Oct. 30 to commemorate victims of domestic violence.

Harman Becker partnered with Barren River Area Safe Space, or BRASS, to release 300 balloons with the names of domestic violence victims written on them.

"It's Harman Becker's commitment to the issue. They've set the standard for other employers and businesses in this area," explained clinical counselor Nora Wright.

Harman Becker lost an employee to domestic violence at one of its other plants.

The crisis hotline was also printed on the balloons.

The number is 1-800-928-1183.
