Children at the Capitol Arts in Bowling Green have been doing a lot more than singing and performing lately.

The youth involved in the performances of "Babes in Toyland" and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" have been collecting toys for "Toys for Tots."

On Dec. 9, the Grinch and Cindy Luhu helped present some of these toys to the Marine Corps.

"It's part of the mission of the Capitol Arts Youth Theatre to develop young people in more than just theatre, but as responsible members of the community. We felt like this was a great opportunity to get our kids involved and caring about other people in the community who aren't so well advantaged," explained Christopher Cherry, artistic director for Capitol Arts Youth Theatre

The cast of these two musicals have been collecting the toys for the past five weeks.
