Shoppers browse items during last year’s Hometown Christmas Craft Fair at the Pickneyville Park Community Recreation Center.
Thirteen vendors at the center on Adams Street are offering everything from wood crafts to monkey sock dolls and silver jewelry, to blown glass, pottery, and knitted items. You can even grab a sack lunch.
"Shop Day is a chance for us to have some of our local craftsmen come in and exhibit their wares," says Shop Day Chairperson Mary Ann Cole, "and allow the community to come in and see our house and the trees, and do a little Christmas shopping."
Cole says this third annual Shop Day continues through December 20, Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. til 2:00 p.m. The Trees of Christmas are also on display Sundays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
