Buckets Blakes of the world famous Harlem Globetrotters visited with the Boys and Girls Club in Bowling Green Friday afternoon.
The Globetrotters are coming to Diddle Arena January 11, and today Buckets was on hand to donate 150 tickets to the Boys and Girls Club, to make sure all the kids at the club have a chance to see the Magicians of Basketball.
"We just found out that Buckets grew up in the Boys and Girls Club," said Director Pam McIntyre, He's here today to show the kids what they do, promote the game, and to have a good time and watch the Globetrotters."
Buckets gave the kids of the Boys and Girls Club a small taste of what they will experience, by putting on a ball-handling display.
The tickets given to the club were donated by Spalding, the official supplier of the team's instantly recognizable red, white, and blue game ball.
