Amber Dwyer's second and third grade classes have held a Sweetheart Shop at Potter Gray Elementary School all week.
The shop is selling everything from baked goods to stuffed animals.
It's opened to the entire school as part of their economic and business studies. Students are learning about profits, pricing, advertising, and much more.
"I asked them what they learned," said Ms Dwyer, "and they just said owning your own business is really stressful, and they really have learned a great deal of life lessons from this store."
The shop has already had to restock its inventory three times.
With still one more day to go, it has already raised nearly $1,000.
All proceeds are being donated to a T.C. Cherry student who has been diagnosed with leukemia.
