This 2007 annual Fancy Farm Picnic is attracting national attention and it's not because of the politics .
The Food Network is planning to be on hand at the St. Jerome Catholic Church's annual picnic.
The event is billed as the world's largest single-day barbecue picnic and the Food Network is planning to document it.
The picnic raises more than $200,000 for the parish and community activities.
It's also gained prominence as Kentucky's top grassroots political event and serves as the unofficial kickoff for fall campaigns.
The annual event starts Aug. 3, 2007.
