There is new information available concerning a murder investigation in Monroe County.
Kentucky State Police say they have arrested 32 year old Brandon Young of Tompkinsville and charged him with the murder of 78 year old Clarene Adams.
State police say a family member found Adams dead just after 7:00 Tuesday evening and witnessed someone running from the home.
After a short investigation, police arrested Young.
An autopsy is scheduled Wednesday.
Additional charges are expected.
