Monday Apple CEO Steve Jobs surprised no one in the tech world when he introduced the latest iPhone .

Jobs made the announcement before a crowd of more than 5,000 reporters and bloggers, and he had a little trouble. "Well Jeez....I don't like this," he said. "We are going to switch backups." WIFI in the building was the cause.

The iPhone 4 is a quarter inch thinner, it has a second camera with a flash and its battery lasts longer than previous versions.

It has a glass front and back which Apple says gives the device better optical quality and makes it scratch proof.

But even that wasn't a surprise after a tech website leaked pictures of the phone earlier this year, after a model was left in a bar by an Apple worker.

Jobs announced more than 100 new features for the phone including the ability to make and edit home movies and and you can now not only talk, text, and email, but also video chat.

One surprise out of Monday's conference, Jobs did not announce a new phone service provider for the iPhone 4.

Verizon users were hoping they too could get their hands on the new phone without switching to AT&T. They'll have to keep on waiting.
