Thieves Feast on Unlocked Autos in Elite Bowling Green Neighborhoods

Bowling Green Police say the vehicles broken into were in the owners' driveways. One was even in the garage, but the garage door was left open.

It happened in the Sheffield, Mount Ayr, Walkerhurst, and Winfield Acres subdivisions, all off Fairview Avenue.

Here's what was stolen: a GPS, a camera, a laptop, money, even a handgun.

The thieves even sliced through a convertible top, seats, and a dashboard.

Police say it appears almost all the vehicles were unlocked, so please lock your cars!
