MAYFIELD, Ky. (AP) -- An Amish teen has been cited for not displaying a safety triangle, after a sport utility vehicle hit a buggy carrying five children.

There were no injuries reported, but the crash dragged the horse-drawn buggy several feet and knocked it into a ditch, according to The Paducah Sun. Five children between 7 and 15 years old were in it.

Graves County Sheriff's Deputy Steve Halsell cited a teenage boy who was driving Saturday, because the buggy did not have the required slow-moving vehicle symbol.

Police cited the other driver on charges of DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.

Nine Graves County Amish men have been jailed for refusing to pay fines over the safety symbol, which they object to on religious grounds.
