Everyone knows about Girl Scout cookies, but not everyone knows about making a delicious new dessert or appetizer with them. That is, except the folks at Desserts First in Bowling Green.

Thursday night everyone's sweet tooth got a good workout at the annual food-fest fund-raiser for the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana.

"This is how we're able to provide programming to our girls," said Outreach Coordinator and PR Liaison Felicia Bland. "Scholarships or financial assistance for our girls, or any adult who may like to be a part of Girl Scouts. It's also for the upkeep of our camps and training for our leaders ."

Especially sweet this year, the Girl Scouts expect to exceed their goal of making $10,000 at this event.

This all leads up to the Girls Scouts' 100th anniversary celebration in March.
