Ten of the fatalities involved motor vehicles, and five of the victims were not wearing seat belts.
One motorcycle-involved fatal crash occurred in Madison County, and the victim was not wearing a helmet. The suspected use of alcohol was a factor in that crash.
To date, statistics show 403 people have lost their lives on Kentucky roadways during 2011, which is 46 fewer than this time last year.
