Starting at 5:00 p.m. CornerStone Church in Bowling Green gave away ten dollars worth of free gas to the first 100 cars in line at the Shell station on the corner of Campbell Lane and Scottsville Road in Bowling Green.
People started lining up around 3:45 to get the gas. There were no strings attached. All folks had to do was drive up and it was pumped for them.
People waiting in line say it's a huge help to their wallets.
"The price of gas going up and up and up. It makes it hard for people on lower incomes to make ends meet," said Yvonne Jones.
CornerStone's pastor said it's just a great way to help out the community.
