Kentucky Native To Receive Nation's Highest Honor
Columbia native, Ex-Marine Dakota Meyer will be awared the Medal Of Honor today.

Ex-Marine Dakota Meyer will be awared the Medal Of Honor today.

At just 23 years old, he saved the lives of 36 people in Afghanistan.

While Meyer is receiving the nation's highest honor, those who were slain will be memorialized in their home towns, at his request.

Those in the town of Greensburg are very proud of him.

They will be honoring him this weekend.
He will be the Grand Marshal of their parade on Saturday.

Meyer's attended Adair County High School and graduated from Green County High school.
