Red Cross officials unveiled one of three Emergency Response Vehicles now on duty in south central Kentucky.
The ERV will be housed in Warren County, but will help clients in seven area counties recover from disasters like house fires, floods, and tornadoes.
"It allows our disaster volunteers to go out on the scene with everything loaded in the vehicle," said American Red Cross South Central Kentucky Chapter Executive Director Jennifer Capps. "They can bring the clients in out of the elements and away from the disaster, so they can do client case work and help them start picking up the pieces."
Red Cross officials say the Emergency Response Vehicle will allow their volunteers to provide all necessary assistance to people in need faster and easier.
